Responsibilities

The Child Care Services is looking for a Sub Coordinator to assist with the development, management, and delivery of high-quality programs.

• Support: Respond promptly to daily staffing gaps due to call-offs, vacations, or shortages by assigning qualified substitutes.
• Collaborate: Analyze substitute coverage trends, including call-off frequency and position-specific gaps, and provide regular reports to the Senior Program Director to support strategic planning.
• Develop: Conduct onboarding and training sessions to prepare substitutes for success across diverse child care environments.

Requirements

Candidates must be committed to contributing to the mission, culture, and values of the YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne as well as:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent communication, supervisory, and organizational skills.
• Excellent human relation skills and enthusiasm.
• Basic math skills and demonstrated recordkeeping proficiency.
• An elevated level of organization, flexibility, and ability to handle difficult situations effectively.
• Successfully complete within 60 days of hire: CPR/First Aid/O2 Certification, Bloodborne Pathogen training, Child Abuse Prevention training, and all other required training as specified by your supervisor.
• Ability to relate to, welcome, and communicate with diverse groups of people regardless of age, race, economic status, religion, or cultural differences.

Salary: Part-time $14.40-$14.90 hourly

Hours Available: AM on call from 4:00am-12:00pm & PM on call from 12:00pm-6:00pm
