CDL Class A OTR Flatbed Drivers

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a CDL Class A Company Drivers for over-the-road (OTR) assignments involving flatbed or step deck trailers based in Winston, GA. Working with Owner-Operators too!

Pay:

• Compensation: Competitive pay starting at 27% of Gross OR $0.65 per practical mile driven. Earnings increase with experience and performance. Drivers take home about $1200-$4500 Weekly.

• Schedule: Trips last between 4 days to 2 weeks, with a minimum of 3 weeks out collectively per month required. Home time is flexible and scheduled to accommodate drivers' needs while ensuring the completion of OTR assignments.

Equipment:

• Modern Fleet: 2020 and Newer Freightliner/Mack/Kenworth/Peterbilt - APU/Inverter, Fridge, XM Radio


• Flatbed/Step Deck Trailers: Operate flatbed or step deck trailers, ensuring the safe transport of various types of cargo across multiple destinations.

Wage Range: 0.65 - 0.70 per mile

General Description of Benefits:

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 Years Recent Verifiable CDL A Tractor-Trailer Experience Required *No Exceptions Due to Insurance*


• License: Valid CDL Class A.


• Clean MVR


• Time Management: Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively, ensuring timely deliveries and efficient use of driving hours.


• Communication: Strong communication skills for effective interaction with the team and dispatcher.


• Load Securing: Experience in strapping, tarping, and securing all types of loads on flatbed or step deck trailers.


• Physical Ability: Capable of handling the physical demands of loading, securing, and transporting cargo.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely Operate: Drive a heavy or tractor-trailer truck with a capacity of at least 40,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW).


• Load & Unload: Manage cargo loading and unloading using appropriate equipment and methods.


• Document Activity: Maintain accurate records and activity logs.


• Report Issues: Communicate any problems or incidents to dispatch immediately.


• Conduct Inspections: Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck.


• Handle Tarps & Straps: Skilled in using tarps and straps for securing various types of loads.
