Summary

This position will be responsible for all mold changes, setup and removal, job cleanup, and all required paperwork and documentation. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient operation of machinery, product quality, and production schedule adherence.

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently complete mold changes
  • Return all hoses, mold clamps, nozzle tips, eye bolts, knock-out bars, and tools to their proper storage locations
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
  • Keep water hoses and fittings in good repair
  • Keep nozzle tips cleaned
  • Keep knock-out bars in good repair and make new bars as necessary
  • Participate in training when offered
  • Experience in material handling and or mold setting
  • Maintain detailed records of mold setups, changes, maintenance activities, and any adjustments made.
  • Report any issues or anomalies to supervisors promptly.
  • Identify and address mold-related issues promptly to minimize production downtime and maintain efficiency.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to find solutions to recurring problems.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Computers & Data Systems
  • Mechanical Aptitude for Minor Repair to Equipment
  • Basic Shop Math Skills (Multiplication and Division)
  • Effective Communicator
  • Good Attendance Record
  • Willing to Work Overlapping Shifts
  • Experience in material handling and mold setting
  • Must work well with Production Team Members and Managers
  • May engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling of parts and part containers
  • Must have own tools


Physical Requirements

  • Physical Requirements, Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects. Physically able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and move across uneven surfaces. Ability to stand most of the shift.
  • Spend most of their workday on their feet, monitoring machines, troubleshooting issues, and making adjustments as necessary. The ability to stand and walk for extended periods is crucial.
  • Perform repetitive tasks, such as loading molds, operating controls, and removing finished parts from machines. Good hand-eye coordination and agility are essential.
  • Adherence to safety protocols and using personal protective equipment (PPE), such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and appropriate footwear, are mandatory to minimize the risk of injuries and exposure to hazardous materials.
