Job Description
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for an experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to contribute to an elementary school setting in Wyandotte, MI. The role involves providing occupational therapy services to a diverse student population, promoting their functional development and learning success.
Assignment Details:
- Contract duration: 6-8 weeks, starting in January
- Full-time position
- Serving approximately 50 students within one K-12 school
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
- Implement therapeutic interventions to support students physical, sensory, and cognitive development
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to integrate therapy goals into the educational environment
- Document student progress and participate in team meetings to ensure prehensive care
Qualifications & Experience:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
- Experience working in school settings preferred
- Strong munication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to manage a caseload of up to 50 students efficiently during the assignment period
