Schools - Speech Language Pathologist

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Enthusiastic professionals are sought to provide specialized speech-language pathology services in a K-12 educational setting in Flint, MI. This contract position is focused on delivering comprehensive support to students requiring speech and language intervention during the extended school year.

Qualifications:

• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
• Experience working with pediatric populations, particularly in school settings
• Proficient in assessment and treatment of speech and language disorders
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with educational staff and families
• Knowledge of relevant state and federal regulations regarding special education

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to identify students' speech and language needs
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers
• Provide direct therapy services to students requiring speech and language support
• Monitor and document students' progress and outcomes
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to a supportive learning environment
• Engage with families to enhance student outcomes and facilitate communication
