American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 1 year of IR experience for a 13-week travel contract at an acute care hospital in New Jersey.
Details\n- \n
- Work in an Interventional Radiology unit at an acute care hospital that is a Level II Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center \n
- IR program covers minimally invasive image-guided vascular and nonvascular procedures for both inpatient and outpatient populations \n
- Daily caseload of 7–15 cases \n
- Procedures include angiography, embolization, endovascular interventions, TIPS, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, IVC filter placement/removal, chemoembolization, nephrostomy, biliary drainage, vascular access procedures, and more \n
- Equipment includes PACS and vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose) \n
- 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM or 7:30 AM–5:30 PM \n
- No weekend shift requirement \n
- On-call requirement of 5 weekday nights and 1 full weekend every 6 weeks \n
- Travelers float as needed between the Atlantic City and Mainland (Galloway) campuses, approximately 12 miles apart (15–20 minute drive), with travelers floating first \n
- Local candidates are accepted; candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are subject to local pay rates \n
- \n
- Minimum of 1 year of IR, Hybrid OR, scrub, and special procedures experience required \n
- ARRT(R), ACLS, and BLS required; ARRT(VI) preferred \n
- NJ DEP Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist License required (can be obtained prior to start date); license required if applicable \n
- Proficiency with PACS and equipment, inventory, and supply management \n
- Experience with room circulation, sterile scrub technique, and vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose) \n
- Vascular access skills including venous access, port access, PICC lines, and central venous line care and maintenance \n
- Experience with abdominal/visceral procedures: aortography, angioplasty, embolization, endograft placement, liver biopsy, stent placement, and related interventions \n
- Experience with genitourinary procedures: nephrostomy, biliary drainage, ureteral stent placement, UAF, and related interventions \n
- Experience with vascular procedures: carotid stenting, dialysis graft creation/revision, TIPS, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, and upper/lower extremity angiography \n

- Orientation is 2 days \n
- Scrubs are provided by the hospital \n
- Parking is provided at each campus \n
- Travelers may be required to make up any missed shifts within the same week or at the end of the assignment \n
- All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration; requests made afterward may not be approved \n
