American Traveler is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist for an outpatient position in Taos, NM, requiring at least 1 year of outpatient experience with a NM state license required prior to start.

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting
  • \n
  • Active New Mexico PT license required before start date
  • \n
  • BLS certification required if applicable
  • \n
  • NM state license required if applicable
  • \n
Additional Information\n
    \n
  • Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients via physician referral or direct access, and establishing and supervising PT assistants under a plan of care
  • \n
  • Competency in treating injured workers and understanding ACOMP systems for Return to Work planning is expected
  • \n
  • Role includes performing WorkSTEPS, APET, Work Hardening Evaluations, Functional Capacity Evaluations, ergonomic evaluations, and job analyses
  • \n
  • Therapist will supervise PT technicians and maintain communication with referring physicians, rehab nurses, and case managers through timely progress notes
  • \n
  • Administrative duties may include answering phones, scheduling patient visits, and taking referrals as needed
  • \n
  • Familiarity with billing codes across various payer types is expected
  • \n
  • Occasional participation in business development activities, community events, and relationship-building with referral sources when patient load allows
  • \n
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply

  • All time-off or scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration

  • 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration

  • Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
