Job Title: Principal Investigator Oncologist
Location: Ogden, UT
Employment Type: Part-Time (1099 Contractor)
Compensation: $300/hour
We are seeking a Board-Certified Oncologist (MD or DO) to serve as a Principal Investigator for oncology clinical trials at a newly established, research-integrated medical facility in Ogden, Utah. This is a part-time, 1099 contract role with guaranteed pay for initial hours and long-term growth potential.
You will play a critical role in providing medical oversight, ensuring regulatory compliance, and safeguarding subject safety throughout the clinical trial process. A fully staffed support team including a dedicated site manager and operations director will manage the operational aspects of the studies, allowing you to focus on clinical and medical leadership.
Key Responsibilities:Serve as Principal Investigator for oncology clinical trials
Oversee study-related assessments including subject eligibility, informed consent, and safety evaluations
Ensure compliance with study protocols, GCP, FDA regulations, and IRB requirements
Collaborate with sponsors, CROs, and internal teams during all trial phases
Review and sign off on adverse events, CRFs, and safety data
Participate in site visits, investigator meetings, and sponsor communications as needed
Provide clinical guidance and oversight to the site research team
Must-Have:
MD or DO with active, unrestricted Utah medical license
Board-Certified in Oncology
Ability to commit 3 5 hours/week to start, scaling up to hours/week
Willingness to complete a 2-step interview process (virtual + onsite)
Commitment to timely follow-up ( hours post-interview)
Nice-to-Have:
Prior experience as a Principal Investigator or Sub-Investigator on clinical trials
Familiarity with oncology-focused research (any phase or indication)
Experience with both drug and device trials (industry or academic)
Compensation: $300/hour (1099)
Initial Hours: 3 5 hours/week guaranteed
Future Compensation: Potential to transition to percentage of study revenue
Support Team: Site Manager & Operations Director
Reports To: Site Operations Leadership
