Senior Tax Associate

Job Description
Our client is looking for a Senior Tax Accountant to add to our growing firm. The Senior Tax Accountant will be responsible for managing the tax return process at both the federal and state levels. Goals for this position include ensuring accurate and timely completion of tax returns while cultivating a professional relationship with clients This role can be located in either the Dallas or Ft Worth office.

Essential Functions

• Working directly with clients to build and maintain client relationships, prepare business, non-business, and individual tax returns, and assist with tax return reviews
• Oversee multiple tax engagements to maximize profitability and efficiency
• Assist with tax return preparation, processing, and other accounting/consulting projects
• Complete work promptly, and monitor status of tax return reviews to ensure deadlines are met
• Familiarize with and adhere to relevant ethical requirements of the AICPA, contained in the Code of Professional Conduct, the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy, and the Texas Society of CPA’s in discharging their professional responsibilities

Qualifications

• Approximately 2 years of relevant experience
• Ability to oversee multiple engagements and deadlines
• Ability to exhibit a high level of confidentiality and attention to detail
• Working knowledge of GAAP principles, accounting transactions, schedules, and financial reports
• CCH Axcess software experience is a plus

Education

• Bachelor’s degree
• An active CPA license preferred, but not required
