Jackson HealthPros is thrilled to welcome an experienced MRI Technologist to support a hospital in Lexington, NC. The MRI Technologist will accurately follow physician scanning instructions, prepare and position patients for MRI procedures, and operate MRI equipment to produce diagnostic images. The role supports inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department patients with a focus on brain, orthopedic, and spine studies. EPIC experience and IV skills are required. Orientation typically lasts about one week, with flexibility based on the clinician’s comfort level.
\nMinimum Qualifications:
\n- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification specific to MRI (ARRT-MR). ARMRIT is not accepted.
- State licensure as required for MRI technologists in North Carolina.
- BLS certification.
- Minimum 1 year of MRI experience required. Inpatient experience must be included within the minimum experience.
- Experience with ED, inpatient, and outpatient MRI workflows.
- IV skills required.
- EPIC electronic medical record experience required.
Preferred Qualifications:
\n- Experience with Siemens Aera 1.5T and Deep Resolve software.
- Previous experience in a hospital setting with a mix of outpatient and ED/inpatient volume.
Assignment Details
\n- Shift days: Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
- Shift hours: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM.
- Department has one MRI room and averages 10–12 patients on weekends.
- Radiologist coverage is a mix of onsite and virtual; ED physicians manage contrast reactions when no radiologist is onsite.
- Transport support available during the day (07:30–18:00); dedicated tech extender on weekends.
- Floating: None.
