Mechanic-Gas/Diesel - Full-time

Prestage Farms is seeking an experienced and dependable Mechanic with a solid background in diagnostics to join our Prestage team. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with general mechanical expertise who also excels at troubleshooting and resolving complex issues in both gasoline and diesel vehicles.

You’ll be responsible for a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks, with an emphasis on identifying problems quickly and accurately using modern diagnostic tools and your in-depth knowledge of vehicle systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in gas and diesel vehicles
• Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks
• Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify mechanical problems
• Conduct inspections and ensure vehicles meet safety and performance standards
• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment
• Accurately document repairs and follow company procedures and safety guidelines

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience as a mechanic, with demonstrated diagnostic abilities
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, sensors, and engine controls
• Familiarity with diagnostic equipment and interpreting fault codes
• Ability to work independently
• Must possess a valid NC class C driver's license and a satisfactory driving record
• must be able to lift/move materials/equipment's up to 90lbs
• Strong work ethnic and reliability
