Physician - Primary Care

Job Details:

• Full-time Internal Medicine Physician serving as an Attending Faculty Physician with leadership responsibilities in an Adult Primary Care Clinic
• Unique opportunity to combine academic medicine, resident teaching, and primary care within a thriving multi-provider clinic
• Full-time schedule includes 8 half-day clinic sessions per week with dedicated academic time and patient follow-ups and care coordination
• Approximately 5 weekends per year of inpatient coverage
• Active resident teaching within the University of Connecticut Internal Medicine Residency Program
• Opportunity for a formal leadership role within the residency program including curriculum innovation, mentorship, and recruitment
• Partner in clinic leadership to enhance access, elevate quality, and design patient-centered models of ambulatory care
• Engage in high-impact institutional and system-wide initiatives spanning quality, population health, and care delivery transformation
• Develop academic portfolio through scholarly work, program development, and academic advancement
• Clinical support includes integrated Behavioral Health services, high-risk Nurse Care Managers, Social Workers, and 2.5 clinical support staff per physician
• EPIC EMR with Dragon dictation and secure HIPAA-compliant messaging
• LEAN Daily Management system to optimize workflow and staff engagement
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine required
• Faculty experience required
• Active Connecticut Medical License required
