What You’ll Do:
- Provide expert neonatal care in a newly opened 50,000 sq. ft. Level III NICU
- Manage critically ill and premature newborns using advanced neonatal therapies such as high-frequency ventilation, inhaled nitric oxide, and total body cooling
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including other neonatologists, nurse practitioners, pediatric subspecialists, and maternal-fetal medicine experts
- Participate in a shared call and rounding schedule, supporting family-centered care
- Educate and mentor pediatric residents and medical students through academic appointments with Mercer University School of Medicine
- Contribute to quality improvement and evidence-based neonatal care initiatives
- Focus exclusively on NICU responsibilities, with no nursery duties
What You Need:
- MD or DO degree with licensure to practice in Georgia
- Board Certified or eligible in Neonatology
- Minimum of 2+ years of neonatal intensive care experience preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, technologically advanced environment
