What You’ll Do:
  • Provide expert neonatal care in a newly opened 50,000 sq. ft. Level III NICU
  • Manage critically ill and premature newborns using advanced neonatal therapies such as high-frequency ventilation, inhaled nitric oxide, and total body cooling
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including other neonatologists, nurse practitioners, pediatric subspecialists, and maternal-fetal medicine experts
  • Participate in a shared call and rounding schedule, supporting family-centered care
  • Educate and mentor pediatric residents and medical students through academic appointments with Mercer University School of Medicine
  • Contribute to quality improvement and evidence-based neonatal care initiatives
  • Focus exclusively on NICU responsibilities, with no nursery duties

What You Need:
  • MD or DO degree with licensure to practice in Georgia
  • Board Certified or eligible in Neonatology
  • Minimum of 2+ years of neonatal intensive care experience preferred
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, technologically advanced environment

This position is based at a leading hospital in Macon, GA, providing family-centered neonatal care within a modern, comprehensive NICU. The facility offers a collaborative atmosphere, academic interaction, and state-of-the-art technology, situated conveniently just outside Atlanta.
