Our emergency department is backed by acute tele-stroke neurology and tele-psychiatry for rapid access to specialized care. Immediate cardiology response is available for all emergency cardiac consults, supported by a 24/7 Interventional Cardiac Lab and STEMI team. We maintain on-call access to hospital-employed general surgery, vascular surgery, bariatrics, urology, and gastroenterology. Community specialists provide additional support in orthopedics, neurology, and gynecology. Through AdventHealth’s extensive citywide network, patients also have access to advanced subspecialty care, including spine, ENT, ophthalmology, hematology/oncology, OB, and advanced GI services.

- ED Admission Rate: 22% representing 85% of total hospital admissions
- Staffing Model: APP staffing 9-10 hours daily

- Service backup includes stat tele-stroke support for acute strokes, telepsychiatry, and pediatric

- Excellent equipment includes three CTs (one in ED), one MRI with 24/7 access, and one dedicated emergency department ultrasound machine
- High acuity facility with broad community-type pathology including pediatrics, medical, surgical, and geriatrics
- Full Department status; ED Physicians do not write admitting orders for hospitalist admissions
- Radiology room located adjacent to ED with dedicated tech 24 hours per day; Glide-scope available in ED
- Active hospitalists facilitate over 90% of medical admissions
- Using the EMR, contracted services, and ED case management, we provide highly efficient ED-to-outpatient transitions, with seamless coordination for home health services, physical therapy, hospice, and wound care follow-up
