Overview
\nSeeking a Physical Therapist for an inpatient rehabilitation unit in Atlantis, FL. The role focuses on inpatient care for orthopedic, cardiovascular, neurologic, and general med/surg populations. The unit is a 42-bed IP Rehab unit within a larger hospital campus and uses Meditech for documentation. Candidates will work with an interdisciplinary team including PTs, PTAs, OTs, and leadership to deliver quality rehabilitation services.
\nMinimum Qualifications
\n- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
- Active Florida state license required to start the assignment.
- Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC.
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in hospital acute care, inpatient rehabilitation (IP Rehab), or skilled nursing facility (SNF).
- Ability to work varied day shift hours.
- Experience with inpatient rehabilitation populations and common equipment such as treatment beds, treadmills, exercise bikes, resistance bands, and therapeutic tools.
Preferred Qualifications
\n- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree preferred.
- Experience working in a teaching hospital or large acute care setting preferred.
Assignment Details
\n- Shift Hours: 0800-1630.
- Work schedule includes one weekend per month, with corresponding weekdays off to balance schedule.
- On call: No.
- Must be able to work varied day shift hours based on surgical volume and holiday rotations.

Impacting Patient Care
\nThe PT will provide direct inpatient rehabilitation services across orthopedic, cardiovascular, neurologic, and general medical/surgical populations. Responsibilities include assessment, individualized treatment planning, therapeutic exercise, and documentation in Meditech. The role supports a team averaging 12 staff on shift and contributes to a high-volume, teaching hospital environment focused on specialized services.
