Opportunity:
Physician - Surgery - Orthopedic
Job Details:
• Provide comprehensive musculoskeletal care to patients across the continuum including evaluation, treatment, surgery, and follow-up
• Diagnose and evaluate orthopedic conditions through physical examinations, medical history reviews, and diagnostic imaging such as X-rays, MRI, and CT scans
• Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing both surgical and non-surgical approaches
• Perform a wide range of orthopedic surgical procedures including joint replacements, fracture repairs, arthroscopy, and other orthopedic interventions
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative care ensuring patient safety, recovery, and optimal outcomes
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including primary care providers, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and rehabilitation specialists
• Participate in rotating on-call coverage as part of a full-time orthopedic service
• Maintain accurate, timely, and complete patient medical records including documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, and surgical outcomes
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and care plans
• Stay current with advancements in orthopedic surgery and apply evidence-based practices to clinical decision-making
• Participate in continuing medical education, professional development activities, conferences, and workshops
• Must be board certified or board eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
• Valid Vermont medical license required
• Clean malpractice history required
• CPR certification and DEA registration required prior to start
• Not open to visa candidates or locum positions
• Must live within 1 hour commute of facility
