Location: Lima, 45802 Ohio
Job Type: Contract | Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Day Shift (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
Duration: Initial 6-Month Assignment (Extension Possible)
Position Overview
We are seeking a Board-Eligible or Board-Certified Physician specializing in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Emergency Medicine to provide comprehensive onsite medical care in a healthcare setting. The selected physician will work collaboratively with advanced practice providers and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
This position offers a consistent weekday schedule with no on-call responsibilities, nights, or weekends.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform routine and urgent medical evaluations, assessments, and treatments.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Conduct physical examinations and develop treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications and monitor patient outcomes.
• Order, review, and interpret diagnostic and laboratory tests.
• Complete medical evaluations, reports, and clinical documentation using an electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Coordinate referrals for specialty care when appropriate.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, peer reviews, and clinical meetings.
• Provide guidance and support to nursing and allied healthcare staff.
Qualifications
Required
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in:
o Internal Medicine, or
o Family Medicine, or
o Emergency Medicine.
• Active Ohio Medical License.
• Current DEA Registration (if applicable).
• Current Healthcare Provider CPR Certification.
• Experience in primary care, hospital medicine, or related clinical practice.
Preferred Skills
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic abilities.
• Experience managing diverse patient populations.
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR).
• Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
Work Environment
• Full-time schedule (40 hours per week).
• Approximately 2.5 patient encounters per hour.
• Collaborative healthcare team environment.
• No night shifts, weekend coverage, or on-call requirements.
Assignment Details
• Initial contract expected to last at least six months.
• Opportunity for extension based on organizational needs and performance.
• Interview process may include a phone interview and onsite meeting.
