Medical Director, Primary Care Opportunity - Brattleboro, VermontSeeking an energetic clinician to serve as Medical Director within the Primary Care Team in Brattleboro, VT — part of a 50-provider, hospital-employed, multi-specialty outpatient practice in the heart of southern Vermont.Position Details
- Direct patient care across four Primary Care sites combined with medical oversight and clinical leadership
- Develop and implement clinical protocols, best practices, and quality improvement initiatives
- Mentor clinicians and lead performance evaluations, FPPE/OPPE processes, and CME activities
- Collaborate with administrative leadership to enhance clinic workflows, scheduling, and EHR utilization
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention of clinicians
- Foster interdisciplinary teamwork among Primary Care clinicians, clinical staff, and administrative personnel
- Oversee quality, patient safety initiatives, patient complaint review, and risk management collaboration
- Contribute to budget development, growth strategy, and value-based care initiatives
- Promote infection control, public health standards, and population health advancement
- Call schedule: 1:11, phone calls only Qualifications
- MD, DO, PA, or APRN degree from an accredited school
- Board certified or board eligible by the appropriate governing body
- Active and unrestricted Vermont state medical license
- Valid Vermont DEA license
- CPR certification for healthcare providers
- Minimum of three years of clinical experience in an ambulatory care setting
- Demonstrated track record of successful leadership experience
- Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills
