Location: Silvis, IL
Position Type: Fulltime Physician – OBGYN
Exciting opportunity for an OBGYN physician to join a supportive team serving a medically underserved community. This role offers a mix of inpatient and outpatient care with access to a state-of-the-art birthing center and a dedicated outpatient office on campus.
Inpatient + Outpatient coverage required
State-of-the-art birthing center featuring:
16 LDRP rooms
Level II Nursery
Dedicated surgical suite
Outpatient office located on campus with experienced staff
Partnership with local FQHC for community women’s health needs
Support staff: seasoned RNs and experienced APPs
EMR: Cerner (transitioning to Epic in 2025)
Call schedule: Options available, to be discussed at interview
Community: Medically underserved population – high-impact role
Fetal monitoring, OB ultrasounds (performance & interpretation)
Routine & complicated deliveries (Vaginal, C-Section, Breech, Multiple Births, VBACs, Abruptions)
High-risk pregnancy management
Gynecology procedures (IUD, Colposcopy, Cryosurgery, LEEP, Cystoscopy, Laparoscopic Tubal Ligation, LOAs)
Major operative cases (Ectopic Pregnancy, Oophorectomy, Cystectomy, LOAs)
Repair of 3rd & 4th Degree Lacerations
Board Certified / Board Eligible (within 3 years of residency; must be BC within 1 year of employment) – REQUIRED
Active IL license or willingness to obtain – REQUIRED
Certified Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) – REQUIRED
Must demonstrate required clinical skills (as outlined above)
Clean malpractice history – PREFERRED
Not accepting visa candidates (J1/H1B not eligible)
Not accepting Locums candidates
Open to new graduates if Board Eligible with plans for certification prior to start
Flexible outpatient clinic volumes (per physician comfort)
Nursery admissions: 0–3 per day
Practice mix: 40–50% low-risk OB, 50–60% high-risk OB
C-section rate: ~30%
GYN cases: volume at physician’s discretion
