Blood Bank Specialist - (MT/MLS/CLS)

-BS degree is required
-May be expected to cover other departments such as Hematology, Urinalysis, and Chemistry
-Prior Blood Bank experience needed in addition to:

• Type & Screen and crossmatching units
• Aggressive Inventory Management
• Advance Antibody Identification and Antigen Typing
• Experience in both tube and gel technology
• Development and maintenance of policy and procedure
• Training of new staff
• Serving as technical resource for technologists and providers
• Oversight of departmental QA/QC/PM and Quality Improvement initiatives
• Accreditation standard and participation in CAP inspections
