Medical Director / Chief Medical Officer Opening in OHLocated in Ohio About the PositionA Medical Director/Chief Medical Officer is sought to provide physician leadership for clinical operations, quality initiatives, patient safety, and strategic growth within a community-focused healthcare organization. This hybrid leadership role combines administrative oversight with direct patient care responsibilities.-Approximately 50% administrative leadership and 50% clinical practice-Provide comprehensive primary care services while leading organizational clinical strategy-Serve as senior physician leader overseeing quality, safety, compliance, and provider performance-Partner closely with executive leadership on strategic planning and operational initiatives-Support value-based care and population health management effortsLeadership Responsibilities-Lead clinical quality, patient safety, and medical oversight initiatives-Mentor and support physicians, APPs, and clinical staff-Oversee provider evaluations, peer review, and professional development-Participate in provider recruitment, onboarding, and retention efforts-Assist with workforce planning and provider scheduling optimization-Represent the organization in community outreach and strategic partnerships-Participate in board and committee meetingsClinical Responsibilities-Maintain an active patient panel and provide direct patient care-Develop and oversee evidence-based clinical policies and protocols-Supervise or collaborate with advanced practice providers-Participate in after-hours and call coverage as needed-Support team-based and integrated care initiatives-Provide chart review, consultation, and clinical mentorshipQuality and Operational Highlights-Chair Quality Assurance and Risk Management Committees-Lead quality improvement and clinical governance initiatives-Oversee provider peer review and chart audits-Drive performance in value-based care and payer quality programs-Support preventive care, chronic disease management, and health equity initiatives-Ensure compliance with HRSA, CLIA, and regulatory standardsPractice Setting-Senior leadership role reporting directly to the CEO-Integrated multidisciplinary care environment-Strong focus on patient-centered care and quality outcomes-Opportunities for strategic program development and organizational growthCompensation and Benefits-Competitive executive compensation package-Comprehensive benefits package-Leadership opportunity within a mission-driven healthcare organization-Stable practice environment with administrative and clinical supportQualifications-MD or DO from an accredited medical school-Residency training in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Pediatrics-Board Certified in a primary care specialty-Minimum 5 years of clinical experience-At least 2 years of physician leadership experience preferred-Current unrestricted Ohio medical license and DEA-BLS certification required-FQHC experience preferred-Experience working with residency training programs preferred-Experience with EMR systems; NextGen preferred
