Infectious Disease Physician

We are seeking a Board-Certified Infectious Disease Physician for a full-time locum tenens assignment beginning September 2025. This position is entirely inpatient-based with no outpatient clinic responsibilities. Providers will work standard weekday shifts with no call requirements.

• Provide comprehensive inpatient infectious disease consultative care
• Collaborate with hospitalists, specialists, and care teams
• Review diagnostics and develop tailored treatment plans
• Document encounters accurately and promptly in the EMR
• Participate in multidisciplinary patient care when requiredMD or DO with Infectious Disease specialty training
• Board Certified in Infectious Disease
• Active Arizona medical license or ability to obtain one
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccination required (declinations and exemptions allowed per facility policy)
• Must meet hospital credentialing standardsInpatient Infectious Disease Expertise Proven ability to manage a wide range of infectious conditions in hospitalized patients
• Strong Clinical Judgment Ability to evaluate complex presentations and tailor evidence-based treatment plans
• Effective Communication Skilled in working with multidisciplinary teams, clearly conveying diagnostic findings and treatment strategies
• EMR Proficiency Comfortable using Epic (or similar EMR) for accurate and timely documentation
• Adaptability Able to integrate quickly into new clinical environments and work independently within established protocols
• Time Management Capable of managing a steady inpatient caseload within a structured weekday scheduleFull-time, Monday through Friday
• 8:00 AM 5:00 PM with 1-hour lunch
• No weekends or on-call responsibilities
• All orientation hours are billable
