Job Description
Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Provide specialized support as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) within a K-12 school setting located in Hayward, CA. This contract position runs from August 18, 2025, through June 5, 2026, offering a part-time schedule of 20 hours per week spread across five days. The role involves working closely with students ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade to assist licensed speech-language pathologists in delivering effective communication intervention services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing individualized speech and language therapy plans under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Support students in developing communication skills including articulation, language comprehension, and fluency.
- Monitor and document student progress according to established protocols.
- Collaborate with educators and therapists to enhance student communication outcomes.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all applicable policies and regulations.
Required Qualifications:
- Possession of a valid California SLPA license or certification.
- Experience or training in working with school-aged children within a K-12 setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to commit to the defined schedule from August 2025 through June 2026.
