Job Requirements\n

\n
• Current Registered Nurse license in hand
\n
• Minimum of 2 years of recent progressive care or stepdown nursing experience
\n
• Experience with similar PCU patient populations preferred
\n
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
\n
• NIHSS certification required
\n
• Epic charting experience required
\n
• Ability to float within the organization as needed
\n
• Open to first-time travelers
\n
• Education from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program
\n

Responsibilities\n

\n
• Provide high-quality nursing care for adult patients with mixed acuity needs
\n
• Care for medical and pre-/post-surgical patients in a Progressive Care / Stepdown unit
\n
• Monitor telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias
\n
• Support rapid response and code team interventions as needed
\n
• Administer IV therapy, blood products, and other ordered treatments
\n
• Manage central lines, PICC lines, heparin protocols, and respiratory support equipment
\n
• Perform wound care and assist with other unit-based clinical needs
\n
• Float to other units within the organization based on patient care needs
\n
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, effective patient care
\n
