Job Description
Manager in Training position focuses on learning and developing the skills needed to manage a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role involves assisting with daily operations, training new staff, and learning to manage finances, food safety, and customer service.
- Greeting customers, taking orders, handling complaints, and ensuring a positive dining experience.
- Helping with various tasks like opening and closing procedures, managing customer orders, and ensuring efficient workflow.
- Assisting in training new employees, ensuring they understand company policies and procedures, and coaching them on customer service and food preparation.
- Ensuring the restaurant is clean, orderly, and meets health and safety regulations.
- Assisting with cash handling, inventory control, and understanding cost management principles.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Food Service Experience: Serving customers quickly and efficiently, especially during busy periods, while maintaining accuracy. Assisting with food preparation. Highlight improvements in service speed or order accuracy. Showcase efforts to reduce food waste or improve inventory control. Quantify positive impact on sales and customer satisfaction.
- Basic Food Safety Understanding and Practice: Experience with food safety protocols, sanitizing procedures, and maintaining a clean work environment.
- Reliable & Dependable: Shows up on time. Consistently delivers on commitments, meets deadlines, and maintains a high standard of performance.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively train staff and manage operations.
- Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze situations, identify problems, and develop solutions.
- Leadership Potential: Demonstrated interest in leadership roles and a willingness to take on responsibility.
