Practice Setting

• This is an inpatient assignment on a cardiovascular surgery service.
• Work with a collaborative team including 1 RN, 1 APP, and office staff.
• The patient population consists entirely of adults.

Schedule

• This flexible assignment requires only 1-2 weeks of your availability per month.
• Scheduled hours are primarily daytime on weekdays.
• Call is required, featuring one call day per week and a 1:4 weekend rotation.

Procedures and Cases

• Function in a first-assist role for cardiothoracic surgery cases.
• Key procedures include endoscopic vein harvesting.
• The daily case volume is typically between 1-3 surgical procedures.

Requirements

• Must be a Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C).
• A minimum of 24 months of cardiovascular surgery experience is required.
• An active and unrestricted Wisconsin state license is mandatory.
• Requires current ACLS and BLS certifications.
