Job Summary/u/b/p pUnder general supervision, applies appropriate welds to fabricate or repair compactors, containers and carts.brbrbuII. Essential Duties and Responsibilities/u/b/p ul liPerforms minor repairs and applies basic welding processes./li liRepairs compactors, containers and carts./li liPerforms preventive maintenance inspections, diagnostic and repair of electrical and hydraulic systems on compactors./li liQualified in the welding processes such as arc welding, gas welding, aluminum welding, brazing, and soft soldering on a variety of materials./li liConducts safety checks on compactors and containers./li liCompletes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing compactors and containers, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times./li liAssists senior welders in the completion of project work./li liPerforms service calls for compactor repair./li liPerforms related work such as flame cutting, bending, forming, beveling, notching of metal and plastic parts./li liPerforms all work within Standard Repair Times (SRTs)./li liWorks from prints, drawings and verbal instructions./li liPerforms standard layouts and set-ups of dimensions and tolerances./li liUtilizes standard shop hand tools, measuring devices and equipment./li liPerforms other maintenance related work as required./li liMaintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards./li liPerforms all work in accordance with established safety procedures./li /ul pbuIII.
