The Developmental Division strives to empower people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live as they choose, actively engaged in the community, pursuing their goals and interests through a choice of supported residential options, health services, meaningful activities, and employment opportunities./span/pulli style="text-align: justify;"span style="font-family: calibri; font-size: 12pt;"Ensure appropriate supervision, health and safety of individuals; Implement Individual Plan of Protective Oversight./span/lili style="text-align: justify;"span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: calibri;"Advocate for individuals in the community (medical appointments, church, recreation activities etc.)./span/lili style="text-align: justify;"span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: calibri;"Ensure individual’s plan of care is implemented./span/lili style="text-align: justify;"span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: calibri;"Ensure that individual medication is administered as prescribed./span/lili style="text-align: justify;"span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: calibri;"Assist in daily living skills (e.g. personal hygiene, food preparation, house keeping, laundry, shopping) - Maintain facility in compliance with the OPWDD and COA standards./span/lili style="text-align: justify;"span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: calibri;"Facilitate individual’s learning and skill training in fire safety./span/lili style="text-align: justify;"span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: calibri;"Implementation and documentation of individual’s goals./span/lili style="text-align: justify;"span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: calibri;"Complete daily progress notes and other individual logs./span/lili style="text-align: justify;"span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: calibri;"Maintain updated certifications in CPR/first aid, SCIP, and AMAP./span/lili style="text-align: justify;"span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: calibri;"Provide atmosphere conducive to positive behavior./span/lili style="text-align: justify;"span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: calibri;"Observe, report regressive and unusual behavior and work cooperatively with clinical staff./span/lili style="text-align: justify;"span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: calibri;"Planning and preparing balanced meals./span/lili style="text-align: justify;"span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: calibri;"Cleaning and maintaining of the residential unit/span/lili style="text-align: justify;"span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: calibri;"Assist individuals with the purchase of groceries, clothing, hygiene supplies and other items needed. - Attends appropriate workshops, trainings, and meetings./span/lili style="text-align: justify;"span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: calibri;"Assist in providing spiritual development./span/lili style="text-align: justify;"span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: calibri;"Assist in providing ethical and moral values./span/lili style="text-align: justify;"span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: calibri;"Transport and escort individuals on recreational activities, medical appointment, home visits, etc. - Assist in development of social skills./span/lili style="text-align: justify;"span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: calibri;"Remain on shift until your relief has arrived./span/lili style="text-align: justify;"span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: calibri;"Complete job related tasks as needed./span/li/ulp style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;" /pp style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"emspan style="font-family: calibri; font-size: 12pt;"strongThe New York Foundling is committed to attracting and retaining a diverse employee population, /strongstrongthe Foundling will honor your experiences, perspectives and unique identity. Salary Range:: $19.00 + Education Additive ($0.15/hour Associate's Degree $.80/hour: Bachelor's or higher)
