Apply today!/p p /p pOur comprehensive benefits include:/p ul liMedical and dental benefits/li liShort- and long-term disability/li liLife insurance/li liMileage Reimbursement/li liPaid time off/li li401(k) program/li liFlexible Spending Account (FSA)/li liEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)/li liVendor discounts/li /ul h2Responsibilities/h2 ul liPerforms personal care needs when given a patient's assignment and attends his/her requests promptly ul liReports to the Case Manager immediately, if unable to perform a certain task/li /ul/li liProvides patient and family with positive communication techniques, within realm of ethical and respectful care, including confidentiality./li liMeets safety needs of patient and using equipment safely and properly (foot stools, side rails, O2)/li liGives personal care including baths, back rubs, oral hygiene, shampoos and changing bed linen as often as assigned/li liAssists in dressing and undressing patients as assigned/li liPlans and prepares nutritious meals, including shopping, as assigned/li liAssists in feeding the patient as assigned/li liTakes and records oral, rectal and auxiliary temperatures, pulse, respiration and blood pressure when ordered with appropriate completed/demonstrated skills competency and when on the plan of care/li liProvides proper care and observation of patient's skin to prevent breakdown of tissue over bony prominence/li liReports on patient's condition and significant changes to the Case Manager ul li Also aware of the caregiver or other individuals living with the patient and interpersonal issues/li /ul/li /ul ul liAssists in ambulation and exercise as instructed by the hospice nurse or therapist/li liProvides normal range of motion and transfers/positioning as directed/li liAssists with self-administered medications as allowed by state regulations, such as reminders /li liOffers and assists with bedpans and urinals/li liProvides assistance as assigned with light laundry needs/li liPerforms range of motion and other simple procedures as an extensional therapy service as ordered with appropriate completed/demonstrated skills competency/li liProvides respite for patient's/family/caregiver when on-site, as appropriate/li liKeeps patient's living area clean and orderly, as assigned/li liAdheres to the organization's documentation and care procedures and standards of personal and professional conduct/li liParticipates in quality assessment performance improvement teams and activities/li liRespectful of patient and family/caregiver environment and patient's personal needs/li /ul h2Qualifications/h2 ul liMeets the training requirements of the State/li liCompleted a minimum of seventy five hours of classroom and supervised practical training Sixteen hours of classroom must be completed prior to a mandatory sixteen hours of practical training/li liMinimum of six months experience including providing personal care/li liAt least eighteen years of age/li liAbility to read and follow written instructions and document care given/li liUnderstands hospice philosophy, comfortable providing specialized care to the terminally ill/li liSatisfactory references from previous employers/li liAbility to work with little direct supervision/li liSecure with issues of death/dying/li liProvides a calm manner when in a patient’s home/li liPossess and maintains current CPR certification/li liDemonstrates tact, patience, and good personal hygiene/li liSuccessfully completes a probationary period ul liThis probationary period is to ensure the aide is competent in the above qualifications and is documented by the supervisor and the employee/li /ul/li liStrong oral and written communication skills/li liGood organizational skills/li /ul h2About our Line of Business/h2Adoration Home Health and Hospice, an affiliate of BrightSpring Health Services, provides quality and compassionate services in the comfort of home, providing support for patients, families, and caregivers in their time of need.
