Exercise Physiologist 1 - Part-time

pInova Fairfax Cardiac amp; Pulmonary Rehabilitation team is looking to add a PRN Exercise Physiologist to our busy team! We need cover for vacations, sick days and on an as needed basis. Must be able to come in and hit the ground running assisting our team and patients as needed. Will be working in both Cardio and Pulmonary settings.nbsp;/p piInova is consistently ranked a national healthcare leader in safety, quality and patient experience./i iWe are also proud to be consistently recognized as a top employer in both the D.C. metro area and the nation.nbsp;/i/p pnbsp;/p pbrbExercise Physiologist Job Responsibilities:/bbrbr nbsp;/p div ul liDevelops exercise prescription and risk factor modification by incorporating comorbidities and musculoskeletal disorders, per established program (ACCVPR, ACSM, ATS, ACC, NASM) standards and guidelines, as evidenced by random chart review./li liReviews and develops Individual Treatment Plans./li liDevelops exercise and strength training programs, patient education, and behavioral health support specific to each patient to achieve optimal outcomes./li liDemonstrates proper instruction and technique for performing appropriate exercise and strength training as needed to ensure patient safety and adherence to exercise prescription, as evidenced by direct observation./li liImmediately reports significant changes in patient clinical status to appropriate members of the healthcare team and assists with emergency care according to department policy, as evidenced by direct observation./li liMay perform additional duties as assigned./li /ul /div pbrbrbExercise Physiologistnbsp;Additional Requirements:/bnbsp;brbr Certification - Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Within 6 Months/p pLicensure - Not required/p pExperience - Not required/p pspanPreferred Experience: completed internship in cardiac rehab or year of experience as an EP 1.nbsp;/span/p pEducation - Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, or Kinesiology/ph2Company/h2divp class="MsoNormal"/p p class="MsoNormal"We are Inova, Northern Virginia’s leading nonprofit healthcare provider.
