pspanstrongJob Summary:/strong/span/p pspanThis position is responsible for assisting in the implementation the YF iOS and YFIMS to eliminate the risk of occupational injury and illness, and environmental non-compliance in a manufacturing environment.nbsp; Spearhead specific actions to assure the plant complies with all federal, state provincial, and local environmental regulations and rules, including those related to occupational health and safety.nbsp; Champion the facility’s EHS risk management program through the corporations Quality Systems (YF iOS) and ISO processes which are designed to minimize the physical and financial exposure resulting from potential, alleged or actual on-the-job injuries/illnesses, and environmental compliance.nbsp;/span/p pspanstrongSupervisory Capacity:nbsp; nbsp; nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp; /strong​No Supervisory Responsibilities​nbsp;/span/p pspanstrongMain Responsibilities/strong/span/p ul lispanGood technical skills in safety, fire and environmental matters:nbsp;/span/li lispanConduct safety, fire risks/env aspects, and ergonomic assessments.nbsp;/span/li lispanDefine controls measures to reduce risks and exposure.nbsp;/span/li lispanManage and lead waste streams and chemical streams.nbsp;/span/li lispanCollaborates when requirements for new equipment are defined.nbsp;/span/li lispanAbility to work “on-call” for any emergencies that may arise.nbsp;/span/li lispanEnter incidents (safety amp; environmental) and other data such as audit results into the Corporate Health Environmental amp; Safety System (EHSIS).nbsp;/span/li lispanMaintain and track all topics from YFIMS system – EHS pillar.nbsp;/span/li lispanConduct accident investigations and assist with determining root cause and resolution.nbsp;/span/li lispanIdentifies, develop, facilitates, and conducts appropriate and required plant EHS training./span/li lispanLeads EHS related teams in plant as (CFT – Cross functionality team, Emergency, First aid etc.).nbsp;/span/li lispanEnsure all new equipment meets all legal and YF requirements, Active participation during acceptance process.nbsp;/span/li lispanCoordinate and possibly teach annual required safety and environmental compliance training.nbsp;/span/li lispanEvaluate EHS hazards and develop proactive strategies to address inefficiencies.nbsp;/span/li lispanFacilitate the daily EHS reviews of operations.nbsp;/span/li lispanWork with regional workers compensation claims administration team, third party administrators, and attorneys to manage open worker’s compensation claims.nbsp;/span/li lispanLead contact for outside agencies such as fire departments, OSHA, and environmental regulators.nbsp;/span/li lispanEnsure contractors are trained properly and adhere to contractor safety program requirements.nbsp;/span/li lispanSchedule annual hearing, pulmonary function exams, and other exams as needed.nbsp;/span/li lispanManage environmental and safety tasks on glide path.nbsp;/span/li lispanManage Hot Work program.nbsp;/span/li lispanCoordinate safety action plan, ensure continuous implementation and improvement.nbsp;/span/li lispanConduct safety and environmental audits YFIMS; coordinate plant preparation for corporate audits YFIMS.nbsp;/span/li lispanRespond to environmental incidents and spills, including completing investigations to determine root-cause and closure activities.nbsp;/span/li lispanLead certification process according to ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.nbsp;/span/li lispanPrepare amp; implement EHSamp;E systems amp; procedures.nbsp;/span/li lispanInitiate projects to improve EHS performance.nbsp;/span/li lispanEnsure plant is compliant with YF iOS and all other environmental, health and safety laws including compliance with all air, water and waste permits including specific YFIMS requirements EHS pillar. Conducts EHSamp;E system audits (leading and lagging KPI) YFIMS - EHS pillar.nbsp;/span/li lispanCoordinate environmental objectives program and ensure implementation throughout the year./span/li lispanPerform duties as the plant EHS management representative (EHS-MR).nbsp;/span/li lispanAdvises plant management of EHS related situations.nbsp;/span/li lispanTrack, Analyze and improve EHS KPI's, Tracks amp; analyse near misses, incidents, injuries and ensure that corrective actions are implemented (also for all Leading indicators.nbsp;/span/li lispanTrack and coordinated the LOTO program in plant (LOTO-Log out Tag out).nbsp;/span/li lispanLead member of the Plant EHS Committee.nbsp;/span/li lispanAssist in accident investigation, helps to assure that proper reports are completed and assists in recommending corrective action.nbsp;/span/li lispanLeads amp; update safety/ fire/ ergonomic /environmental hazards/impact assessments, defines and controls corrective measures.
