Mold Technician - Full-time

pDescription/ppstrongTitle:/strong Mold Technician nbsp;br/strongDepartment:/strong nbsp;Maintenance 5000/ppstrongReports to:/strong Maintenance Supervisor/ppstrongFLSA Status:/strong nbsp;Hourly Non-exempt/ppbr//ppstrongPosition Summary/strong/ppPerform work utilizing hand and power tools and mechanical skills to keep molds in repair. Duties involve repairing, installing, aligning, and testing molds to meet production requirements. Assist Maintenance Technicians in Preventative Maintenance, Equipment Repair and completing projects./ppbr//ppstrongPrimary Functions/strong/ppbr//ppnbsp;nbsp;Use of hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches to perform regular job duties./pp· Responsible for mold changes amp; auxiliary/set up functions in assigned area.nbsp;/pp· Load and position tools into presses and perform changeovers.nbsp;/pp· Clean and store molds properly.nbsp;/pp· Mold and machine maintenance skills.nbsp;/pp· Crane operation.nbsp;/pp· Inspect molds for defects.nbsp;/pp· Perform preventive maintenance on molds before installing.nbsp;/pp· Complete change over sheets after completion of each mold change. Maintain any necessary documentation.nbsp;/pp· Responsible for meeting tight deadlines, the average mold change time to be held at 60 minutes./pp· Strong attention to detail.nbsp;/pp· Must be able to work the assigned overtime to cover the functions of this position as assigned.nbsp;/pp· Must be able to work safely and always consider the safety of others in the workplace.nbsp;/pp· Must assure that all personnel involved in the actual machine set up are following the company Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) program.nbsp;/pp· Responsible for housekeeping of work area.nbsp;/pp· Perform other related duties as assigned.nbsp;/ppbr//ppstrongEducation and Experience/strong/ppstrongEducation/strong/ppHigh School Diploma or GED Equivalentnbsp;/ppbr//ppstrongExperience/Knowledge/strong/ppbr//pp· Strong mechanical ability.nbsp;/pp· Proven and/or demonstrated communication skills.nbsp;/pp· Successful interaction in a cross-functional team environment./pp· Must possess the ability to learn and retain./pp· Must be able to solve problems and think on the go.nbsp;/pp· Good reading, writing and math skills.nbsp;/pp· Ability to safely operate a forktruck./ppbr//ppstrongTechnical Role Competencies/strong/ppbr//pp· strongRepairing/strong — Repairing and changing molds using the needed tools./pp· strongEquipment Maintenance/strong — Performing routine maintenance on molds and determining when and what kind of maintenance nbsp;is needed.
