S/he provides basic support services to clients. The Peer Coordinator ensures compliance with all Win contractual requirements./strong/ppstronguResponsibilities:/u/strong/ppstrongbull; Provide outreach intervention, resource and referral services through the distribution of materials and education to clients individually and in group settings./strong/ppstrongbull; Assist clients with access to needed community services and provide follow up./strong/ppstrongbull; Commit to using Evidence-Based Practices (EBP); strength-based case management, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Trauma Informed Care (TIC), critical time intervention, family-centered case management, boundary setting, and cultural-reflexivity to help clients achieve their goals./strong/ppstrongbull; Conduct recreational activities and monitor client participation./strong/ppstrongbull; Act as an advocate for clients as appropriate; encourage and support self-advocacy./strong/ppstrongbull; Accompany clients to appointments, trips and activities./strong/ppstrongbull; Actively participate as a member of the residence multi-disciplinary team./strong/ppstrongbull; Attend shelter meetings, organization wide meetings and staff training, as requested./strong/ppstrongbull; Assist with conducting unit inspections./strong/ppstrongbull; Identify problems in daily living skills and provide direct support to clients./strong/ppstrongbull; Prepare all mandated reports required by Win, Department of Homeless Services (DHS) and other funders./strong/ppstrongbull; Work evenings and weekend schedule as needed./strong/ppstrongbull; Work collaboratively with the case managers to ensure clientsrsquo; treatment plans are followed./strong/ppstrongbull; Support colleagues with emergencies and crisis intervention./strong/ppstrongbull; Assist with food preparation, meals, and clean up for clients/strong/ppstrongbull; Stock and organize the food pantry./strong/ppstrongbull; Document all assistance and services to clients in the client chart and DHS database./strong/ppstrongbull; Perform other related duties assigned./strong/ppstrongEssential Functions:/strong/ppstrongbull; Must be able to work evenings, at least one Saturday a month and some holidays./strong/ppstrongbull; Must be able to ascend/descend stairs within the building assigned./strong/ppstrongbull; Must be able to escort clients to appointments as needed./strong/ppstrongbull; Must be able to work evenings, at least one Saturday a month and some holidays./strong/ppstrongbull; Must be able to ascend/descend stairs within the building assigned./strong/ppstrongbull; Must ascend/descend stairs in a five (5) story building where clients reside./strong/ppstronguQualifications:/u/strong/ppstrongbull; Commitment to Winrsquo;s mission, vision, and values./strong/ppstrongbull; AA degree required./strong/ppstrongbull; Food Handler certificate must be obtained and kept current./strong/ppstrongbull; Must be able to work evening and weekend schedule./strong/ppstrongbull; Demonstrated knowledge and skill in motivational interviewing and trauma informed care./strong/ppstrongbull; Must have an ability to work effectively with a team in a crisis driven, fast paced environment./strong/ppstrongbull;Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills./strong/ppstrongbull;Basic computer skills required; Proficiency in Microsoft Office preferred./strong/ppstrongbull; Bilingual English/Spanish a plus./strong/ppstronguCore Competencies:/u/strong/ppstrongbull; Leadership: Embodies Winrsquo;s Core Values and understands client needs are staffrsquo;s priority.
