Role Summary: p style="margin: 0px;"The Server Assistant’s role is to Assist in all areas of service with a focus on running food and maintaining cleanliness of the restaurant./p Role Responsibilities: ulliKnowledge of table numbers/liliEnsuring each dish appears correctly prepared/liliAssist with side work before, during and after each shift/liliStay aware of the dining room and being prepared to provide any item a guest requests/liliMaintain overall appearance of dining room and expo station/liliDeliver food promptly to guest and be able to describe and answer questions about each dish/liliRespond appropriately to guest requests/needs, communicate with servers and staff about all issues and requests/liliCommunicate all 86’d items to staff and management/liliBe ready and willing to offer assistance to coworkers as necessary, including but not limited to welcoming all guests, running food and maintaining the dining room as a whole/liliPromptly greet guests as they are seated and bring bread service if applicable/liliRemove used tableware between courses and package food requested to take away/liliClear tables after guests leave. Take tableware to dish room and place silverware, dishes, glassware, etc. in appropriate areas for washing/liliPromptly clean table tops, chairs and booths between seating. Check floor and clean as required. Reset and arrange tabletop/liliRemove trash and recycling throughout the shift/liliRespond appropriately to guest requests. Communicate guest requests to server as needed/liliCommunicate with server and hostess to assure efficient seating, table utilization and customer service/liliAssist in polishing and restocking tableware, especially with large parties and during peak periods/liliBe available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager/liliIf assigned as Barista for the shift, prepare and serve all coffee drinks and teas/liliAssist in daily cleaning of the restaurant before and after service/li/ul Role Qualifications: ulliPrevious restaurant experience preferred/liliStrong communication and listening skills/liliPleasant, polite manner and a neat and clean appearance/liliSelf-motivated and interested in taking on additional roles and responsibilities/liliBe able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8hours)/liliBe able to lift up to 50 lbs, reach, bend and stoop/li/ul The Perks: p style="margin: 0px;"URBN offers comprehensive Perks Benefits to employees.
