This role requires advanced skills in MIG and stick welding and custom fabrication. The A Welder works independently on complex repair tasks and supports the training and development of entry-level team members./span/p Essential Job Functions: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.: ullispan style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"Perform advanced MIG welding, stick welding and metal fabrication on a variety of container types and compactor components./span/lilispan style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"Rebuild or replace structural frames, bottoms, lids, caster brackets, and mechanical parts using custom-cut steel./span/lilispan style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"Interpret repair orders and/or sketches to execute precise rebuilds or modifications./span/lilispan style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"Use cutting torches, plasma cutters, grinders, and bending tools to shape and prepare materials./span/lilispan style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"Lead fabrication of specialized equipment or container configurations as needed for customer orders./span/lilispan style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"Perform quality control checks to ensure all welds meet company standards./span/lilispan style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"Mentor and train junior welders and assist with onboarding of new hires./span/lilispan style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"Maintain clean and organized welding area and perform basic preventative maintenance on shop tools./span/lilispan style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"Track parts used and time spent on custom or complex builds for cost analysis./span/lilispan style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"Collaborate with supervisors/span/li/ul Requirements and Qualifications:: ullispan style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"Minimum 3–5 years MIG welding, stick welding and fabrication experience in industrial or structural repair settings./span/lilispan style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"Proven ability to perform precise welds in various positions and on worn or contaminated metal./span/lilispan style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"Advanced skills using fabrication tools including shears, brakes, torches, and weld jigs./span/lilispan style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"Self-motivated and capable of leading complex projects with minimal supervision./span/lilispan style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"Strong safety awareness and adherence to PPE and shop protocols./span/lilispan style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"Ability to lift heavy materials, work outdoors in all weather conditions, and operate yard equipment as needed./span/li/ulp style="margin: 0px;" /pp style="margin: 0px;"strongspan style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"Work Environment/span/strong/pp style="margin: 0px;"span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"This role involves working in a combination of indoor shop and outdoor yard environments. Frequent exposure to welding heat, welding fumes, grinding dust, metal shavings, and heavy lifting is expected.
