The primary role of the Excavation Technician is to perform residential and commercial excavations that resolve plumbing issues resulting from compromised or broken plumbing lines. /span/p Responsibilities: ul type="disc"lispan style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"Prioritize safety by strictly adhering to OSHA and Roto-Rooter safety protocols/span/lilispan style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"Interact with customers as needed/span/lilispan style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"Perform excavation tasks followed by pipe repairs or new pipe installations as an Excavation Technician/span/lilispan style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"Operates back-hoe, mini-excavator, skid steers, and/or other excavation machinery equipped with scoops, shovels, or buckets to excavate and load loose materials/span/lilispan style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"Work in confined spaces and open trenches/span/lilispan style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"Locates and arrives at job sites in a timely manner; safely drives and operates service vehicle between job sites/span/li/ul Requirements: ullispan style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"Hands-on experience in excavation projects for both residential and commercial construction settings is required./span/lilispan style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"Must have a valid driver's license. Depending on the vehicle driven, a Commercial driver's license may be required./span/lilispan style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"Demonstrate proficiency in navigating excavation environments, including confined spaces and trench operations, with efficiency and effectiveness./span/lilispan style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"Complete jobs within specified timelines/span/lilispan style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"Current CDL or ability to obtain within 90 days if necessary for the vehicle driven/span/lilispan style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"Trenchless water, sewer gas experience a plus/span/lilispan style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"Be willing to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, to meet the demands of the position./span/li/ulp style="margin: 0px;"span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"Excavation technicians are paid an hourly rate of $20.00 to $22.00 during training.  After training, an excavation technician will be paid per a daily job rate ranging from $250 to $450.  They are guaranteed to be paid an hourly rate at or above the minimum wage for all hours worked.
