directly responsible to the shift supervisor./span/span/span/li lispan style="font-size:11pt;"span style="font-family:Calibri, sans-serif;"spanThe primary functional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:/span/span/span ul style="list-style-type:circle;" lispan style="font-size:11pt;"span style="font-family:Calibri, sans-serif;"spanRead and understand the company’s Policy and Procedure Manual./span/span/span/li lispan style="font-size:11pt;"span style="font-family:Calibri, sans-serif;"spanReporting on time and in uniform for their assigned shift in good mental and physical health./span/span/span/li lispan style="font-size:11pt;"span style="font-family:Calibri, sans-serif;"spanMaintain appropriate certifications (MA and/or RI) in order to function as an EMT legally./span/span/span/li lispan style="font-size:11pt;"span style="font-family:Calibri, sans-serif;"spanEnsure that assigned vehicle is stocked, serviced, and cleaned as specified by the daily checklist./span/span/span/li lispan style="font-size:11pt;"span style="font-family:Calibri, sans-serif;"spanAssure all biomedical equipment is checked, operated and maintained in accordance with manufacturer’s standards./span/span/span/li lispan style="font-size:11pt;"span style="font-family:Calibri, sans-serif;"spanPerform, with a good attitude, all job tasks assigned by the Base Supervisor or other managerial personnel./span/span/span/li lispan style="font-size:11pt;"span style="font-family:Calibri, sans-serif;"spanMaintain the base living quarters (bunkroom, TV room, bathrooms, garage bay, etc.) in clean and sanitary condition./span/span/span/li lispan style="font-size:11pt;"span style="font-family:Calibri, sans-serif;"spanGreet all inspection personnel both within the company and State or local officials professionally, courteously and with enthusiasm./span/span/span/li lispan style="font-size:11pt;"span style="font-family:Calibri, sans-serif;"spanAttend appropriate ALS continued training for skills review./span/span/span/li lispan style="font-size:11pt;"span style="font-family:Calibri, sans-serif;"spanAttend Medical Rounds./span/span/span/li lispan style="font-size:11pt;"span style="font-family:Calibri, sans-serif;"spanInspect and sign off on all controlled substances and drugs responsible for during shift./span/span/span/li lispan style="font-size:11pt;"span style="font-family:Calibri, sans-serif;"spanMaintain a monthly inventory of all controlled substances within the narcotics logbook./span/span/span/li /ul /li /ul p style="margin-left:96px;" /p pspan style="font-size:11pt;"span style="font-family:Calibri, sans-serif;"strongspan style="font-size:12pt;"spanSPECIFIC DUTIES:/span/span/strong/span/span/p ul lispan style="font-size:11pt;"span style="font-family:Calibri, sans-serif;"spanThe duties of the Staff EMT Paramedic/Cardiac/Intermediate include, but are not necessarily limited to the following:/span/span/span ul style="list-style-type:circle;" lispan style="font-size:11pt;"span style="font-family:Calibri, sans-serif;"spanUpon receiving vehicle assignment at start of shift, the EMT will do the following during the first 15-20 minutes of shift: complete equipment checklist; check fluid levels; visual inspection of lights and exterior; restock equipment and inform Shift Supervisor/Dispatcher of any deficiencies or problems; sign on the air with dispatch reporting in service and giving vehicle mileage./span/span/span/li lispan style="font-size:11pt;"span style="font-family:Calibri, sans-serif;"spanIf a call precludes the above, it will be accomplished at the earliest possible time./span/span/span/li lispan style="font-size:11pt;"span style="font-family:Calibri, sans-serif;"spanManage all patients in accordance with standards of care and Statewide Treatment Protocols./span/span/span/li lispan style="font-size:11pt;"span style="font-family:Calibri, sans-serif;"spanHave a complete understanding of the Scope of Practice of the EMT Paramedic/Cardiac/Intermediate as well as Statewide treatment protocol relative to the State(s) of certification./span/span/span/li lispan style="font-size:11pt;"span style="font-family:Calibri, sans-serif;"spanComplete the appropriate documentation on all calls in a legible manner and to the standard expected within the company./span/span/span/li lispan style="font-size:11pt;"span style="font-family:Calibri, sans-serif;"spanCarry out all assignments in a timely and professional manner./span/span/span/li lispan style="font-size:11pt;"span style="font-family:Calibri, sans-serif;"spanEnsure that vehicle is appropriately stocked, cleaned (vehicle trash can emptied, stretcher made, suction sterilized, etc.) at completion of shift./span/span/span/li lispan style="font-size:11pt;"span style="font-family:Calibri, sans-serif;"spanOn the overnight shift, ensure that bunkroom is cleaned, and linen is disposed of properly./span/span/span/li lispan style="font-size:11pt;"span style="font-family:Calibri, sans-serif;"spanWhile on the road, ensure that constant communication contact is maintained between crew and dispatch./span/span/span/li lispan style="font-size:11pt;"span style="font-family:Calibri, sans-serif;"spanWhile on duty, have on your personal all appropriate EMT certifications and driver’s license./span/span/span/li lispan style="font-size:11pt;"span style="font-family:Calibri, sans-serif;"spanOperate the ambulance in a safe and reasonable manner in accordance with the laws of Due Regard./span/span/span/li lispan style="font-size:11pt;"span style="font-family:Calibri, sans-serif;"spanFamiliarize self with service area and facilities./span/span/span/li lispan style="font-size:11pt;"span style="font-family:Calibri, sans-serif;"spanMaintain professional radio procedures in accordance with the policy and procedures of the
