CONVERSION*Forklift Operator- 1st Shift

pstrongSUMMARY:/strong/ppThe Forklift Operator will perform shipping receiving duties; break down freight and categorize by location; read and document pack-slips and Bills of Lading (BOL’s); load and unload freight by hand and via forklift; perform general warehouse duties as needed following terminal specific requirements and Standard Operating Procedures./ppstrongESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:/strong/pulliSuccessfully complete Forklift Training Certification program/liliLoad and unload trucks/liliStock inventory/liliPalletize/liliScan the Inbound and Outbound trucks when they load and unload/liliLog in the drivers on the Driver Log; log in the seal numbers on the Seal Log/liliComplete daily forklift checklist/liliDuties may include reassignment to alternate operational areas as business needs require/liliEssential duties are not necessarily exhaustive and may be supplemented or otherwise revised by DHL at its sole discretion/li/ulpstrongEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:/strong/pulliHigh School or equivalent training and/or least 6 months related experience preferred/li/ulpstrongREQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:/strong/pulliAbility to speak English/liliUnderstand and carry out oral instructions; read and carry out written instructions; tickets, receiving, Bills of Lading (BOLs), graphs, logs, schedules/liliEstimate speed of moving objects/liliCount, use simple addition and subtraction/liliOperate industrial equipment including forklifts, and pallet jacks/liliContact with other departments or people outside of this mail terminal on routine affairs, exchanging necessary information on a service or cooperative basis/li/ulpstrongPHYSICAL DEMANDS:/strong/pulliWalk, push, pull and lift up to 50 lbs.
