This position reports directly to the Extended Day Care Program Manager.nbsp;/span/p pnbsp;/p pstrongPrinciple Duties and Responsibilities:/strong/p ol li style="font-weight: 400;"span style="font-weight: 400;"Provides child care support services./span/li li style="font-weight: 400;"span style="font-weight: 400;"Develop positive relationships with children, parents, staff members, administration, and community members through effective written communication as well as verbal and nonverbal interactions/span/li li style="font-weight: 400;"span style="font-weight: 400;"Plans and implements age-appropriate activities for students ages 3-12 years old both indoors and outdoors./span/li li style="font-weight: 400;"span style="font-weight: 400;"Performs attendance and other record keeping as directed./span/li li style="font-weight: 400;"span style="font-weight: 400;"Assists in maintaining a clean and safe facility / playground at all times/span/li li style="font-weight: 400;"span style="font-weight: 400;"Addresses behavior management for students enrolled in Extended Day Program.nbsp;/span/li li style="font-weight: 400;"span style="font-weight: 400;"Maintains discipline and brings behavior and/or discipline concerns to the Extended Day Care Program Manager./span/li li style="font-weight: 400;"span style="font-weight: 400;"Maintains confidentiality with regard to student and family records and information./span/li li style="font-weight: 400;"span style="font-weight: 400;"Participates in staff-development and professional development activities as offered (up to 16.0 clock hours per calendar year)./span/li li style="font-weight: 400;"span style="font-weight: 400;"Administer childrenrsquo;s medication and First Aid as needed, and complete necessary State of Michigan and District-level documentation./span/li li style="font-weight: 400;"span style="font-weight: 400;"Maintains confidentiality with regard to student and family records and information./span/li li style="font-weight: 400;"span style="font-weight: 400;"Other duties as assigned./span/li /ol pnbsp;/p pstrongKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:nbsp;/strong/p ol li style="font-weight: 400;"span style="font-weight: 400;"High school graduate (18+ years of age) with prior experience working/interacting with children./span/li li style="font-weight: 400;"span style="font-weight: 400;"Some Early Childhood or Child Development college coursework highly preferred./span/li li style="font-weight: 400;"span style="font-weight: 400;"Must have current first Aid and infant, child, an adult CPR training or be willing to obtain at next available offering/span/li li style="font-weight: 400;"span style="font-weight: 400;"Willing to complete up to 16 clock hours of professional development training, in addition to new hire requirements as required by MiLEAP Child Care Licensing regulations.nbsp;/span/li /ol pnbsp;/p pstrongPhysical and Mental Requirements:/strong/p ol li style="font-weight: 400;"span style="font-weight: 400;"Must be able to report on a regular and consistent basis.nbsp;/span/li li style="font-weight: 400;"span style="font-weight: 400;"Maintain consistent and punctual attendance./span/li li style="font-weight: 400;"span style="font-weight: 400;"Duties include frequent walking and physical activity, as well as use of hands and arms for signaling and light lifting/carrying up to 40 pounds.
