h2Our Company/h2 pAll Ways Caring HomeCare/p p/p h2Overview/h2 pRespite care is the providing of temporary relief time for the regular or primary caregiver (spouse, child, relative) of persons living with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (ADRD) that require constant in-home care, including those with intellectual developmental disabilities (IDD) and ADRD./p p /p pstrongWhy Choose All Ways Caring HomeCare?/strong/p ul liGreat Company Culture/li liCompetitive Pay/li liEmployee Benefits; including Medical, Dental and Vision insurance/li li401K/li liDaily Pay Option Available/li liCareer Growth Opportunities - Up to $500 towards CNA certification/li liFlexible Hours/li liWork close to Home/li /ul p /p pThe Respite Care worker will provide one or more of the following primary activities: feeding, personal care needs, companionship, support or general supervision./p p /p pThe respite worker should:/p ul lihave past experience in caring for persons living with ADRD;/li lihave the ability to communicate with the caregiver/care recipient with speech/hearing or visual impairments/li libe able to maintain confidentiality;/li lihave reliable transportation./li /ul h2External Job Description/h2 ul liResponsibilities will include: ul liPersonal care needs/li liMouth and denture care/li liShaving/li liFinger and toe nail care (no cutting)/li liGrooming hair- shampooing, combing, oiling/li liBathing or bed bath-shower or tub (partial or complete)/li liHelps with dressing/li liHelps with toileting-bed pan, commode/chair, or urinal (emptying and cleaning)/li liReminds waiver participant to take medication/li liHelps with eating and feeding if needed/li liTransferring or changing the waiver participant’s body position/li liHelps in ambulation/li liProvide companionship/li /ul/li liProvide the following housekeeping tasks: ul liAssures that rooms are clean and in order/li liPrepares shopping lists/li liPurchases and stores groceries/li liPrepares and serves meals/li liLaundering, ironing, sweeping, mopping, and dusting/li liRun errands/li liProviding assistance/supervision during community outings/li liCleans and operates equipment in the home such as the vacuum cleaner, stove, refrigerator, washer, dryer, and small appliances/li liChanges linen and makes the bed/li liCleans the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, and pans/li /ul/li liProvide compassionate companionship to patients/li liOther duties as assigned/li /ul h2Qualifications/h2 ul liMust be 18 years of age or older./li liMust be a high school graduate, have a GED, or demonstrate the ability to read the written personal care services assignment and write adequately to complete required forms and reports of visits./li liMust demonstrate the ability to work well with aged and disabled individuals who have limitedfunctioning capacity;/li liAbility to communicate both verbal and written./li liCapable of working responsibly with confidential information./li liMust be able to work independently./li liMust maintain current and active first aid and CPR certification;/li liBe physically able to perform the job tasks required and assurance that communicable diseases of major public health concern are not present, as verified by a physician;/li liHave interest in and empathy for, people who are ill, elderly, or disabled;/li liBe emotionally mature and able to respond to participants and situations in a responsible manner;/li liHave good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to deal effectively, assertively, and cooperatively with a variety of people;/li liMust not have been convicted of a crime substantially related to the dependent population or any violent crime;/li liMust be able to recognize the signs of abuse, neglect and/or exploitation and the procedures to follow as required in the Vulnerable Adult Act; and/li liMust have knowledge of how to prevent burns, falls, fires; and emergency numbers to contact emergency personnel if required./li /ul h2About our Line of Business/h2 pAll Ways Caring HomeCare delivers quality, compassionate, and individualized care and support that helps people in need of assistance stay at home – all while maximizing their dignity, privacy, and independence.
