Clinical Services Representative 1 (6:45 p.m.-7:15 a.m.)

pThe Clinical Services Rep assists the clinical staff by performing a variety of clerical tasks that ensure the efficiency of the unit and provide outstanding customer service to our patients and visitors. Relies on established guidelines to accomplish tasks. Works under close supervision.nbsp;/ph3Responsibilities/h3divpJob Standards and Performance Expectations/p ol liPatient Medical Record ol liAssembles and maintains the patient chart from admission to discharge./li liCollects all printouts and files in charts, runs necessary reports, and retrieves data as requested by physicians and nurses./li liOrders necessary equipment and unit supplies and maintains adequate inventory levels./li liConsistently processes patient orders, requests for exams and other ancillary services, such as x-rays, lab tests and transportation accurately and timely./li liCoordinates patient admissions, transfers and discharges./li liRetrieves medications from the pneumatic tube system and/or pharmacy and delivers the medications to the nurse and/or place medications in a secure location as determined by the nurse manager./li /ol/li liQuality ol liAssist nursing staff with retrieving medications from pneumatic tube system and places medication in appropriate locations for administration by nurse./li liActs as a receptionist and greets patients, directs visitors, and provides patient information to the medical staff./li liAnswers the phone and uses proper phone etiquette. Responds to the patient call lights in a timely manner. Maintains a work area that is neat, clean and orderly. Cerner (CIS)/p pSpecial Skills - Communication, Customer Service, Computer Skills. Knowledge of medical terminology.
