Medical Lab Tech-PRN - Part-time

Performs laboratory analysis and quality control testing following clearly defined criteria and reports any unusual conditions to the Senior Tech, Corrdinator over that area, in the absence of the Director or the Pathologist. Maintains competency and yearly state licence. Creates a positive work environment. Works in and floats between Automated Chemistry, Special Chemistry, Serology, Blood Bank, Coagulation, Automated Hematology, Hematology, and Urinalysis. brbr  BA or BS with one year in an approved MT school; Associates degree and/or completion of an MLT school; or equivalent in accordance with the CLIA requirements. brbrRegistry from the American Socity of Clinical Pathologists or equivalent registry and West Virginia State Laboratory Technologist licensure. brbrOne year concentrated work experience in a clinical Microbiology Lab or Laboratory Speicalty. Ability to perfrom a wide range of routine, clearly defined analysis at acceptable levels of competency and on a timely basis, involving independent judgement as delegated by the supervisor. br
