- Day 3x12-Hour | 11:00 - 23:30 | Self-Scheduling | Every Other Weekend
- Night 3x12-Hour | 19:00 - 07:30) | Self-Scheduling | Every Other Weekend
Position Overview:
Seeking a flexible ER RN for a community hospital ED with 130 daily visits. This role is ideal for nurses who thrive in general emergency care (adults/peds) and prefer autonomy with self-scheduling. First-time travelers with strong skills are welcome!
Key Responsibilities:
- Triage and manage diverse cases (abdominal pain, seizures, respiratory infections, psych holds).
- Perform IV starts, phlebotomy, and medication administration (including vasopressors).
- Assist with procedures (intubation, chest tube management, splinting).
- Use specialized equipment: Ultrasound, transvenous pacemakers, Hoyer lifts.
- Collaborate with Rapid Response, Pharmacy, and Social Services.
Requirements:
Mandatory:
- Active MD or Compact RN license (required at submission).
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI (AHA only).
- 1+ year of ER experience (2+ years preferred; community hospital OK).
- Epic EMR familiarity (preferred).
- 2 Professional References (1 supervisor + 1 charge RN).
Facility Details:
- Patient Ratio: 1:4 (all shifts).
- Self-Scheduling: Block shifts allowed (rare for travel roles!).
