Automotive Engine Builder in Glendale AZ
We are an engine re-building shop located in Glendale, AZ with 20+ years in the industry. We currently have an opening for an engine builder. Skills and experience needed in removing, repairing, building, and installing engines in a wide range of vehicles such as cars, trucks, vans, and occasionally RV’s. 

Job description

• 3+ years verifiable experience required
• As an engine builder you will need to perform a variety of tasks including engine teardown, engine assembly, inspecting, testing, repair, maintenance and troubleshooting on a wide variety of cars, trucks, vans, and occasionally RV’s.
• You need a high level of diagnostic and repair knowledge on gas and preferably diesel engines. Must have excellent problem-solving skills with high attention to detail, the ability to stay on task as well as adapt as needed, and get work completed quickly but CORRECTLY with minimal supervision.
• The ability to adapt to individual job circumstances, changes in task schedules, and other unforeseen circumstances is mandatory in order to service and repair the vehicles correctly.
• Internal combustion engine knowledge required, diesel engine knowledge much preferred
• Must be familiar with a wide variety of makes and models of vehicles, with the ability to research and learn as needed.               
• Must have own hand tools.
• A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications are a plus. Bilingual a plus.

Required qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in the transportation industry
• 21+ years or older
• Reliable transportation to and from work
• Valid driver's license
• Valid auto liability insurance
• Driving test
• Speaks English
• Reads English
• Available to work: weekdays

Preferred qualifications:

• Speaks Spanish
• Reads Spanish
