Drivers

This position is for Class A CDL drivers responsible for driving company owned vehicles to local bakeries, picking up bakery waste to be processed into livestock feed. We utilize multiple trailer types including roll-off, end dumps, walking floor and container trailers. The bakery waste is unloaded into our manufacturing plant where it is converted into livestock feed. We are looking for individuals with a safe driving record, and who want to be part of an organization that values integrity, respect, and teamwork.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate various types of commercial vehicles, including dry van, end dumps, roll-off, container trailers, and tankers.
• Navigate assigned routes efficiently to ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Load and unload cargo safely and securely.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
• Situational awareness is a must do when working around heavy equipment and machinery (good vision and hearing)

Required Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED degree with related experience.
• You must have reliable transportation to be available for your scheduled work hours.
• Minimum three verifiable personal references.

Qualifications:

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL-A) with a clean driving record.
• 3 years of safe driving experience.
• Familiarity with operating roll-off truck, dump truck, and tanker vehicles is preferred.
• Must be comfortable with a drug screen and criminal background check.
• Must be willing to work occasional overtime.
• Only local candidates will be considered.
