We have a strong pipeline of exciting and career-enhancing full-time and part-time assignments across the Biotech, Marketing, Fintech, Consumer Goods, Pharma and Technology sectors, and we're interested in hearing from Business Immigration Paralegals to join us and commence their LOD journey.
A highly regarded law firm in Washington, D.C., is currently seeking skilled applicants for their opening as a Business Immigration Paralegal. Preferred candidates will have experience with NIV matters, including H-1B, TN, etc., in addition to PERM experience. This is a contract position with an anticipated duration of at least 90 days (with the possibility of extension) and features a hybrid schedule in the firm's D.C. office. This is an immediate hiring need.
Overview:

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform more substantive and client facing work than is typical for a Paralegal in a law firm setting including varied case related duties requiring specialized knowledge and skills in employment-based immigration matters.
- Independently perform tasks related to case preparation and filing of petitions with government agencies, including document gathering, document review, case analysis, case drafting, etc.
- Oversee status of cases through utilization of case management and billing systems, run reports as needed, and assist with review of cases.
- Work with clients to perform intake of cases, troubleshooting issues and establishing case strategy, along with recommending solutions and process improvements.
To join us, you will:
- Have at least 5 years of experience ideally gained from top or mid-tier law firms or in-house (with strong legal training)
- Be client centric - commercially minded, adaptable and able to hit the ground running
- Possess a Bachelor's degree and over 2 years of relevant experience
- Have experience with NIV matters, including H-1B, TN & PERM.
