Job Description:
As a Tax Accountant, you'll play a critical role in the company's income tax accounting and compliance function. This position supports the preparation and reporting of quarterly and annual tax provisions, assists in regulatory income tax matters, and contributes to tax planning and audit activities. The ideal candidate brings a mix of strong technical tax knowledge, regulatory experience, and a continuous improvement mindset.
Key Responsibilities:

Execute income tax accounting and reporting activities, including quarterly provisions and reconciliations

Prepare federal and state quarterly estimated tax payments

Support regulatory income tax consulting, including rate case support and reporting

Coordinate with external tax auditors and government agencies

Identify and implement process efficiencies to enhance tax compliance and planning

Prepare and review depreciation reports used in return filings and forecasting

Participate in tax audits: gather data, research technical issues, and recommend actions

Contribute to the implementation of new tax technology and process improvements
Preferred Background:

Experience with income tax accounting, including ASC 740

Exposure to regulatory tax matters in the energy sector preferred

Strong communication and analytical skills

Comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
