Locums - Anesthesiologist Opportunity in Hudson, FloridaCardiac-Focused Role Hands-On Practice Level II Trauma Center

We're seeking a skilled and TEE-certified Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join a high-performing care team in Hudson, FL. This is a great opportunity to step into a dynamic, hands-on setting that sees a variety of surgical cases-including high cardiac volume-with a strong MD/CRNA care team model.

Assignment Details:

• Start: ASAP through September 30, 2025

• Shifts:

  • Day: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM

  • CV Beeper Call: 5:00 PM - 7:00 AM

  • Weekend & weekday shifts as needed

• Call Schedule: 1:3 (MD/CRNA model)

• Weekend: 24-hour shift from Saturday 7 AM to Sunday 7 AM

• Post-call day off available if preferred

• EMR: MedAxion (Anesthesia charting)

Practice Environment:

• Facility Type: Level II Trauma Center

• Anesthetizing Sites: 12 ORs + 9 NORA sites

• Annual Surgical Volume: Approx. 9,000 cases

• Anesthesia Model: 9 MDs / 16 CRNAs

• Supervision Model: 1 MD to 3 CRNAs; physicians provide direct oversight during induction, emergence, post-op, and pre-op care

• Self-performing cases is rare-this is a true care team model

Case Types:

• High-volume CV including TAVRs, mitral clips, CABGs (10-12 per week / 40-50 per month)

• EP procedures including Watchman (80/month)

• Additional cases: Ortho, spine, vascular, limited neuro, endoscopy, EP lab

• No OB or transplant cases

• Trauma call involves general OR/Trauma/IR support with CRNA available

Qualifications:

• Board Certified Anesthesiologist

• TEE Certification - Required

• Must be willing to take cardiac call and trauma shifts

• Prior cardiac and trauma experience strongly preferred
