Radiology Physician

We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Radiologist to cover a short-term, high-paying locum assignment at a general acute care hospital in California. This facility requires immediate coverage July with procedural responsibilities and acute imaging needs.

• July (must be available all 3 days)

• Day Shift: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM

• Optional Pager Call: Rarely called in (paid separately)

• $3,100/day (blended)

• Optional night call: additional pay

• Travel, lodging, and malpractice included

• Stroke-certified general acute care hospital

• Daily imaging breakdown:

  • CTs:

  • X-rays:

  • Ultrasound:

  • MRI: 5 8

  • IR Procedures: 5 8/day

• Diagnostic support staff and overflow reads handled by large Sacramento-based group

• EMR: Cerner

• IR procedures: thoracentesis, paracentesis, biopsies (thyroid/lung), abscess drainage, nephrostomy tubes, chest tubes, suprapubic catheters

• Lumbar punctures, barium studies

• Must be confident with ED, ICU, and OB/med-surg imaging

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiology

• Active California medical license

• California Fluoroscopy Certification (required at time of submission)

• BLS and DEA

• Strong acute care imaging + procedural skillset

• Clean malpractice preferred

• Must be available all 3 dates at time of name clear

This is a top-dollar assignment with built-in procedural volume and minimal overnight activity. The facility is prioritizing speed and skill first to submit is first to be considered.
