Summary:

A Lawman HVAC Assistant Project Manager is responsible for working closely with the project managers to organize, improve, and implement filing systems, internal processes, and project databases. This role helps manage all documentation and systems pertaining to Project Management and the HVAC Department.
Essential duties include but are not limited to:
- Write purchase orders with shipping procedures
- Prepare and review schedule of values for each job
- Prepare timesheets with cost codes weekly for field employees
- Keep an up-to-date schedule of all field employees jobsite location for the week
- Gather submittals and submit to appropriate parties; submittal process varies from job to job so the knowledge of procedures for each job is a must
- Distribute approved submittals with deliberative requirements and follow up on unapproved submittals or resubmittals
- Keep up-to-date submittal logs per job
- Prepare hardcopy submittal logs for the field
- Prepare electronic and hard copied Operation and Maintenance Manuals based on each job required specifications
- Follow up on shipping dates
- Submit and track change orders and RFIs and keep updated logs for both
- Code invoices; check to make sure they match up against purchase orders with corresponding cost codes

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position does not have any supervisory responsibility.
Work Environment:
This position operates within an office building, jobsite office trailer and is shared with other personnel.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organizations facilities.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- May require working around loud and hazardous construction equipment.
- Ability to bend, climb, pull, push, balance, kneel, twist, and climb stairs & ladders.
- Occasionally lift up to 15 pounds.
- Occasionally work from ladders, lifting equipment and scaffolds.
- Constantly working from elevated surfaces and always under fall protection.
- Occasional periods of time exposed to potentially harsh environments elements.
Position Type/ Hours:
The hours for this position vary from job to job with typical working hours of 7am-3:30pm.
Travel Requirements:
Must be available to travel domestically with overnight stays for business purposes, when or if necessary. A valid drivers license is required for this role.
Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 1 year of recent/relevant office experience.
- Closely related responsibilities OR any combination of education and/or recent relevant experience to perform the job duties of this position.
- Must be able to legally work in the United States as all employees will be verified through the U.S. Department of Homeland Security eVerify system.
Preferred Additional Qualifications:
- Extensive knowledge of HVAC operations
- OSHA-10 (Construction)
- 1 year of recent/relevant experience in the HVAC field
- Knowledge of commercial construction
- Experience with estimating, writing proposals, and working with budgets
- Safety and first-aid practices
- Knowledge of ProCore, BlueBeam, Primavera (P6), Adobe, Microsoft Office, and Sage300 C&RE
